Millikin is an above-average private, Christian university located in Decatur, Illinois. It is a small institution with an enrollment of 1,840 undergraduate students. Admissions is somewhat competitive as the Millikin acceptance rate is 65%. Popular majors include Nursing, Business, and Music Performance. And lastly, Millikin is filled with great people-students and faculty alike provide a great learning experience. The student body is decently diverse. The theatre program is amazing as well as the music program. The faculty truly cares for every student. The small campus gives you the close knit family vibe.

Millikin University Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Under the direction of Dr. Gary Shaw, the Millikin University Symphonic Wind Ensemble offers an unparalleled experience in musicianship. Frequent guest conductors and soloists have visited the Millikin University campus to perform with students in the band program. The Millikin Wind Ensemble has participated in several new composition consortium with other universities. Composers involved in these new pieces for wind ensemble include David Maslanka, David Gillingham, John Mackey, Scott Ninmer, John Stevens, Michael Schelle, Joseph Schwantner and Libby Larsen.

The Real People are an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1988. The band consists of Tony Griffiths (bass guitar, vocals), Chris Griffiths (guitar, vocals), Martin Lappin (guitar) and Tony McGuigan (drums). Formed in 1987 by brothers Christopher and Anthony Griffiths, the original line-up consisted of Chris Griffiths (guitar, vocals), Tony Griffiths (bass, vocals), Dave Reilly (drums, ex-China Crisis), Jay Norton (keyboards, ex-It's Immaterial), and Gordon Morgan (guitar, ex-Black).

A jazz band (jazz ensemble or jazz combo) is a musical ensemble that plays jazz music. Jazz bands vary in the quantity of its members and the style of jazz that they play but it is common to find a jazz band made up of a rhythm section and a horn section.
