The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld is the debut studio album by English electronic music group The Orb, released as a double album on 2 April 1991 by Big Life. It is a continuous, progressive composition consisting of several tracks advancing the "journey" concept; its framework is of a two-hour psychedelic trip through genres and studio electronics, produced to "push the threshold" of live stage performance, and comprising vocal samples and sound effects interspersed with original music.

The A-side is identical to the mix on BLR 270CD, just mastered with a ~1 second longer fade-in and a fraction of a second shorter fade-out. 8000 copies pressed, according to an article in Record Collector Well, being devotees of the ever-useful BBC Sounds Effects series of LPs, they pinched it from the tracklisting on the album "Science Fiction Sound Effects N. 6" (BBC REC 420, as if you're interested). It refers to a bit of F/X wizardry by Elizabeth Parker heard in the cult TV series "Blake's 7". The Orb may have made this particular title their own, but "Machine Monster With A Black Sense Of Humour (Who Chases Our Heroes Around, Winking)" remains up for grabs.
