Listen to this album and millions more. What Separates Me from You is the fourth studio album by American rock band A Day to Remember, and their third and final for Victory Records. Originally planned for release in late-October 2010, the album was delayed by a few weeks until mid-November. What Separates Me from You was released on November 15, 2010 in the UK, and on November 16 in the US. The album, which was recorded mainly at The Wade Studios in Ocala, Florida, from May to July 2010, was the first to feature guitarist Kevin Skaff

It's not as an effective album finisher as If It Means a Lot to You, but it's really crisp. The song is about him realizing what it means to let go of this certain someone and realizing that they'll both regret it even though it may hurt. It ends with the clean intro followd by screams and a held out chord with some computer effects in the back. It makes for an optimistic ending. Lyrics - 9 Overall, I saw the lyrics as pretty intricate, more so than previous albums. Jeremy McKinnon conveys more than one thought/emotion in each of the songs, which is pretty cool.

With WSMFY, A Day To Remember has done it again, making pop punk songs and still managing to make heavy metalcore songs in the process. This 10 track roller coaster will take you through songs like "Sticks and Bricks" with the ADTR sound, screaming, melodic choruses and breakdown. Then songs like "All I Want" is a hard rock anthem for many people to enjoy. 2nd Sucks" is the heaviest song they have ever written. A roller coaster of amazing songs.

A Day To Remember have come down with some sort of virus-ratio throughout their career together, having much in common with the attitude that underflows through the workings of sputnikmusic. You see, ever since starting in 2003, A Day To Remember have become maligned by a growing number of specific music listeners. The more other people like them, the more people like us hate them. Though, this hating goes a little deeper than a matter of popularity - it’s their music, too. Just take a look at A Day To Remember’s discography and the career path the band has taken.

Maybe A Day To Remember's latest, What Separates Me From You, will be the album when all the haters finally quit hating. For now, though, it's really good that they haven't: ADTR work best angry. There's a spot about midway through Sticks & Bricks, the pummeling opening track, when singer Jeremy McKinnon professes, My heart is filled with hate. Right around when you'd expect him to grunt, Disrespect your surroundings.
