The Label was founded in 1947 by the German musician, actor and director Ernst Busch, controlled and owned by the state. It was ment to show the variety of GDR´s musical output as well as some licensed musicians from around the globe. Their catalog consits of 2,200 albums and about 5,000 singles, with a total of 30,000 titles.
